Lectures at Jordan University of Science and Technology

Funded by DAAD and initiated by the chair for hydraulic construction of TUM the program fosters knowledge transfer in hydraulic and water engineering. Its goal is to set up a scientific discussion about water issues in Middle East / Near East and Northern Africa. The topic of the workshop points out the extreme flood events and droughts for many years on the other hand.
In total four lecturers of TUM held courses at the university in Jordan, two German students spent one year abroad and Jordan students and lecturers visited Germany. Scientests of 12 different nations participated in the workshops.
Besides the very positive experience gained in the academic environment, the hospitality, open-mindness and interest illustrate the mutual success. Contacts to various universities of the region werde made and many friendships emerged.
